What is AHD technology?
AHD (Analog High Definition) technology is a type of video surveillance technology that transmits high-definition video signals over coaxial cables. When to Use AHD Instead of IP Cameras

While AHD systems offer several advantages, there are situations where IP cameras may be the better choice.

If you already have a robust network infrastructure in place, IP cameras may be the more convenient option, as they can be easily integrated into your existing network. On the other hand, if you have an existing analog system, AHD cameras may be the more cost-effective choice.
2. Flexibility and Scalability
IP cameras are generally more flexible and scalable than AHD cameras. If you need to add more cameras or integrate additional features, such as facial recognition or license plate recognition, IP cameras may be the better choice.
3. Remote Access and Storage
IP cameras are better suited for remote access and storage, as they can be easily connected to the cloud. This makes it easier to access your video footage from anywhere in the world, as long as you have an internet connection. AHD cameras, on the other hand, typically require a local recorder and do not have the same level of cloud connectivity.

AHD technology offers several advantages over other analog video surveillance systems, including enhanced image quality, longer cable runs, backward compatibility, and cost-efficiency.
